Define a property set line/boundary line for reinforcement

Definition of property set lines/boundary lines for the longitudinal, shear and torsion reinforcement types

In terms of the program, these lines are treated as boundary lines here, which are automatically generated in the background when this function is used and to which the corresponding property set type is assigned. However, it is also possible to use the Assign active property set to boundary line tool to assign the active property set to a "normal" boundary line that has already been drawn. Conversely, it is also possible to cancel the assignment of a property set to a boundary line (regardless of whether it was generated automatically or manually) using the Cancel assignment of active property set to boundary line tool.

For details on the definition and background of the individual reinforcement types, see:

Shear reinforcement

Torsion reinforcement

To create a new property set line or a polyline of the longitudinal / shear / torsion reinforcement type

  1. Go to the property set menu of the cross-section in the navigation tree and select the desired (previously created) property set of the longitudinal reinforcement / shear / torsion type.

This property set is now active and all subsequent definitions are assigned to this property set.

  2. Click Insert Property Set Line/Boundary Line here.
  3. Click on the point of intersection of two parametric lines or a parametric point to define the starting point of the line.

Alternatively, you can set the position directly with the mouse cursor.

  4. Click on the point of intersection of two parametric lines or a parametric point to define the end point of the line.
  5. Add further lines to the polyline (back to 4.) or confirm the entry with the Enter key or by clicking the last defined point again.

Note: Press ESC to cancel the definition of the entire polyline.

Notes: To add another line to an existing polyline, click on the last defined point after calling up the tool. To insert a point into an existing polyline, click on the corresponding line and then on the desired position of the point to be inserted.
