Allplan Add a user into a project or remove from it

Managing Allplan users and their access rights

In the case of network operation with a workgroup manager, determine the members of a project and therefore the Allplan users generally authorized to access the project upon creating it via the dialog box New Project - Additional Settings (see "Create new projects"). As administrator of the workgroup, this assignment can be changed at any time by subsequently adding or removing users to the list of authorized people.

Note: As an option, you can further restrict general access rights to drawing files and plans for project members by only issuing write permissions to selected project members. The remaining project members in this case only have read authorizations (see "Managing access rights to drawing files and plans").

How to add a user to a project or to remove a user from a project

  1. Click Project and Resource Administration (How).

    The Allplan Exchange dialog box Project and Resource Administration dialog box opens.

  2. In the left-hand toolbar, select the Workgroup Server project data path.
  3. Right-click a project and click Properties on the shortcut menu.

    The Project Settings dialog box opens.

  4. When in the Authorized users column, select the check box for the user that should have access to the project.

    Note: All users created for the Allplan workgroup can be selected (see "Allplan Create user").

    Or:

    Untick the check box for a user if they should no longer have all access rights for the project.

    Tip: After removing users in the relevant projects from the list of project members, adjust them by selecting Remove unknown users from drawing file and layout authorizations (Project and Resource Administration dialog box -> Shortcut menu for projects).

  5. Click OK to confirm.

Or:

  1. Click Project and Resource Administration (How).

    The Allplan Exchange dialog box Project and Resource Administration dialog box opens.

  2. Right-click in the empty area of the project list and select Project members overview from the shortcut menu.

    The Project members overview dialog box opens.

  3. Right-click on the project, then go to the shortcut menu and select Change project members.

    The Select project members dialog box appears.

  4. When in the Username column, select the check box for the user that should have access to the project.

    Or:

    Untick the check box for a user if they should no longer have all access rights for the project.

    Tip: After removing users in the relevant projects from the list of project members, adjust them by selecting Remove unknown users from drawing file and layout authorizations (Project and Resource Administration dialog box -> Shortcut menu for projects).

  5. Click OK to confirm.
