Manage access rights for the building structure

Managing Allplan users and their access rights

As administrator of a Allplan workgroup you will always have read and write permissions for the building structure of all projects in the workgroup. On the other hand, as administrator you can restrict rights for normal users.

How to manage the access rights of a Allplan user for the building structure

• The workgroup manager is licensed and selected (see "Select Workgroup Manager")
• You have administrator rights for the Allplan workgroup.

1. To do this, start Allmenu and click Administer users in the Workgroup Manager menu.

   Or:

   When Allplan in the Project members overview dialog box (see "Retrieve overview of members involved in the project") go to the shortcut menu for a project and click Allplan User Administration.

   The User Administration Allplan dialog box is displayed.

2. Right-click the user and select Properties on the shortcut menu.

   The dialog box Properties for user: "XXX" is shown.

3. When in the Building structure list box, select read/write, if the user is supposed to change the building structure in all projects within the workgroup.

   Or:

   When in the Building structure list box, select read, if the user is supposed to change the building structure in no projects within the workgroup.

   Note: The list box can only be set for normal users, not administrators (default: read/write).

4. Click Apply.
5. Close the User Administration Allplan dialog box with OK.
