Dialog box Open on a project-specific basis: Drawing files from fileset/building structure, Building structure tab or Fileset structure
tab Dialog box Open on a project-specific basis: Layouts

You can define the following basic settings in the Settings dialog box for the Open on a project-specific basis: Drawing files from fileset/building structure or open on a project-specific basis: layouts dialog box.

Note: The options that are actually available to you depend on the dialog box you have opened.

Always determine drawing file or layout size

When you select this option, the program automatically calculates the size of the drawing file or layout when you open this dialog box. Otherwise, click Determine drawing file size to calculate the size. Since the calculation takes some time, you should enable this option only on fast computers.

Small or large icons in tree structure

You can choose between small and large icons in the tree structure. Large icons are very useful with high-resolution monitors.

Fileset structure

Turn on ToolTips in drawing file list

When you select this option, the drawing file name appears in a ToolTip when the name is too long to fit into the Drawing file name column.

Show fileset structure

When you select this option, you can see the Fileset structure tab. This option is active by default. You can turn it off separately for each project.

Building structure and layout structure

Show ToolTips with plane names

When you select this option, the names of the plane model and plane appear in a ToolTip on the Building structure tab as soon as you point to a height setting.

Show ToolTips with elements in layouts

When you select this option, the elements placed in a layout (drawing files and NDW files) appear in a ToolTip as soon as you point a layout name or number. When layout elements are placed multiple times, the number in parentheses tells you how often a layout element is placed.

Tip: You can also use the shortcut menu to list the layout elements in a layout. Here, however, you cannot see whether layout elements have been placed several times.

Proposed folders for saving favorite files

You can specify whether favorite files are saved to a common folder, which is available to all users, or to a user-specific folder. This setting also defines which folder opens when you load a favorite file.

Subfolder of respective user: Favorite files are stored in the folder Prj\"Project name"\BIM\"User number"\settings

Common subfolder for all users: favorite files are saved in the Prj\"project name"\BIM\favorites_BuildingStructure\settings (for the building structure) or Prj\"Projektname"\BIM\favorites_LayoutStructure\structures (for the layout structure) folder.
