IFC Export Settings (advanced) dialog box
Custom IFC attribute assignments are files with the extension CFG. You can save these files under any name in any path.
The user interface of the editor reflects the structure of the *.CFG files. You can open and edit existing attribute assignments in the editor. You can also edit *.CFG files manually by using Notepad as usual.
Note: You can still use attribute assignments from earlier Allplan versions. See the notes on IFC attribute mapping.
You can find detailed information about IFC attribute assignment in the "Attribute mapping" section of the Allplan BIM Compendium, which you can download as a PDF file from the AllplanHome Page - "Learning" area.
Assignments, property sets, or objects (area on the left)
Note: For import, the area on the left is sorted by property set; for export, it is sorted by Allplan object. General attribute assignments apply to all property sets or objects. In addition, you can create specific assignments that are superordinate to the respective general assignments.

Adds a property set or object to the Specific assignments area.
Indicates that notes are available for the property set or object. You can find further information in the symbol’s ToolTip in the area on the right (Annotations column).
Tip: For example, when you work with content from different sources with attributes that are similar but not identical, it is a good idea to assign different Allplan attributes to the same IFC attribute for export. In this case, you can see with the ToolTip indicating that this attribute assignment already exists; the attribute assignment will be saved.
Indicates that the assignment is not valid. Select the line and adjust the assignment in the area on the right. You cannot save the attribute assignment if it includes assignments that are empty or not valid.
