Set Up Page

You can use this tool to specify the format, orientation and the margins of the page. In addition, you can define the layout border, title block and background as properties of the page.
If you have logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges, you can define additional page formats.

Layout Element

You can use this tool to address drawing files individually or as a fileset in order to position them in the layout. You can define the scale, drop-in angle, font size, text direction, visibility settings for layers and the drawing type.

NDW Layout Element

You can use this tool to place NDW files in the layout. You can define the scale, drop-in angle, font size, text direction, visibility settings for layers and the drawing type.

List Layout Elements

You can use this tool to display a list with information about the documents already placed in the layout. You can modify the properties of the documents, alter the sequence in which the documents print, replace and copy documents or remove documents from the layout.

Layout Border

You can use this tool to set the size and properties for the layout border of a layout or layout section. After having defined its properties, you place the layout border.
If you have logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges, you can define new formats and new display parameters for layout borders.

Label layout border

You can use this tool to label a layout. Allplan creates the label as a label style, thus updating it automatically when you open the Layout Editor task, switch to another layout or print the layout.

A label style is essentially an associative label. The contents of a label style update to reflect any changes you make to the properties of the element to which the label style has been applied.

Legend, Title Block

You can use this tool to create legends with the current layout and project attributes.
The program always creates the legends as associative legends, making sure any changes in the attributes update automatically. After having placed a legend, you can explode it into its design entities.

Layout and Project Attributes

You can use this tool to define and manage the layout attributes and project attributes of the current project.

Print Layouts

You can use this tool to print a layout.
If you have logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges, you can create or modify print profiles.

Print HPGL File

You can use this tool to send layouts of which you created print files to an output device.

Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution

You can use this tool to open Allplan Exchange, which helps you dispatch layouts. You can specify who receives which layouts and define and manage the layout attributes and project attributes of the current project.

Export Layouts

You can use this tool to convert layouts to numerous file types. You can optimize transfer by defining detailed configuration settings and assignment settings.

By using the ODX interfaces, you can convert files from and to numerous formats. The following overview shows the file types you can export and import. The file types that are actually available to you depend on the configuration purchased.

The following file types are available:

• AutoCAD files of versions V12, 2000, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2018 in the following formats: .dwf (export only), .dwg, .dwt, .dxb, .dxf
  

  DXF (Drawing (dibujo) - EXchange (intercambio) - Format (formato)) es un formato de archivos especial. Export PDF Data

Export NID File

You can use this tool to compress an entire layout into an NID Internet Document. This type of file is a convenient way of exchanging data (with a partner office, for example).

Export HPGL File, Bitmap File

You can use this tool to print one or more layouts to file in HPGL/2 monochrome or HPGL/2 color format. The print files get the extension .prn or .plt. The program saves the print files in the project folder. But you can also select a different folder.
You can also use this tool to save the current contents of the layout as a bitmap file.

Import Layouts

You can use this tool to import files from a large number of file types into Allplan layouts.

Import PDF Data

You can use this tool to import 2D and 3D PDF files to the current Allplan document. Allplan imports lines, text, bitmap areas, layers and 3D solids.

You can use the imported PDF data as a basis for your work (for example, site plans). You can also import details or parts of catalogs published in PDF format.

Import NID File

You can use this tool to import an NID Internet Document. When importing the file, the program always creates a new project. This is to prevent any data in the current project from being overwritten.

Layout Content Reports

You can use this tool to create reports that analyze the data of the documents placed in a layout.

Reports are used for analyzing data in Allplan. They are saved as templates in RDLC format.

Reports can be printed, placed as PDF files in documents and exported to Excel and other formats.
You can change the layout of reports and save the result as a new template.

Move Page

You can use this tool to move the page over the layout. The page is displayed as a white area with a shaded border. This way, you can also print different parts of the layout on a small output device.

Transfer Layer Visibility

You can use this tool to modify the layer visibility settings (print set) of documents you have already placed in the layout. This way, you can generate different views of the layout without having to assemble a new one.

Edit Drawing Files

You can use this tool to open one or more drawing files for editing straight from layout editor. When you open the drawing files, Allplan creates the Layout fileset in the Fileset structure. This fileset includes all the drawing files selected.

Update Layout

You can use this tool to adjust drawing files to the borders delimiting the drawing files.

Layout Window

You can use this tool to place sections of documents in the layout. A layout window may display portions from several documents at the same time.

Modify Layout Window

You can use this tool to add documents to a layout window, move elements within a layout window, resize layout windows, edit documents in a layout window and explode layout windows.
