Pattern Line on/off

Using pattern lines

To switch the pattern line property on and off, you can use the Pattern line option (Properties palette) or the Pattern Line on/off tool (Format toolbar). When you select this tool, all the geometric entities you create from now are drawn as pattern lines (e.g. lines, circles, rectangles). The program uses the parameters set in the Properties palette or in Pattern Line Settings (Format toolbar).

To draw elements as a pattern line

1. Select the pattern line property in one of the following ways:
   • Select the Pattern line option (Properties palette).
   • Click Pattern Line on/off (How).
     

     Activate Pattern Line on/off in one of the following ways

     • Menu bar: Format

     • Toolbar: Format

     Each new element will now be drawn as a pattern line.

2. Stop drawing pattern lines in one of the following ways:
   • Deactivate the Pattern line option (Properties palette).
   • Click Pattern Line on/off again.

Note: The pattern line parameters Miter, Joint and so on will only work if you create the pattern line as a polyline using Polyline.
You can also use Rectangle and Polygon to create polylines.
