Using pattern lines

Use Pattern Line Settings to define the parameters of a pattern line.

Tip: You can also define the parameters of a pattern line in the Properties palette.

Note: To draw a pattern line, select the Pattern line option (Properties palette) or the Pattern Line on/off tool (Format toolbar) and draw the pattern line using a line, circle, rectangle, ...

To define a pattern line

1. Click Pattern Line Settings (How).
   

   Activate Pattern Line Settings in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Format

   • Toolbar: Format
2. Specify the pattern line parameters.
3. Click OK to confirm the settings.
