Backing up documents from '...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2014\Extern' to earlier version

You can use this tool to convert drawing files of the current Allplan version 2014, which are in the external path, to documents compatible with version 2011, 2012 or 2013 and copy these to any folder. The data can also be compressed to a *.zip file.

To back up documents from the external path to a specific version

• Exit Allplan before you Back up documents from '...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2014\Extern' to an earlier version.

1. Open the Services application, select the File menu and click Back up documents from '...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2014\Extern‘ to earlier version.
2. Select the destination version to which you want to convert the data.

   The data is converted automatically. Depending on the source and destination versions, this may take some time.
   After the data is converted to the destination version, it remains in the external path.

3. Follow the program’s backup dialog.
4. The program will then ask whether you want to delete the data in the external path.
   Confirm this question. Now you can use the external path for the next conversion process.
