Using a cross-section from a symbol catalog

Tool(s): Entering cross-sections in the bridge and civil engineering modeler

  1. Click Get cross-sections from symbol catalog on the cross-section toolbar or Edit menu.
  2. Open the libraries in the Default, Office, Project, Private and External paths and navigate to the required folder.

    Note: For symbol selection, the Library palette shows only the folders containing 2D symbols. To select a symbol in any folder, open the External path folder and set the external path to the required folder.

  3. Select the symbol you want to use and click OK to confirm.

    Allplan calculates the coordinates of the polygon points.

  4. Edit the cross-section created or quit definition to assign the cross-section to the current station point.

Note: You can also delete a cross-section while entering it.
