Editing cross-sections
Tool(s): Bridge/Civil Engineering Component + Modify Bridge/Civil Engineering Component
Note: After you have created a cross-section, the program converts it to a polyline.
If you have not yet modified a corner, you can still change the dimensions of the cross-section using the
Modify cross-section tool. After you have modified the cross-section, you can only change the coordinates of the individual polygon points.
You have several options for modifying cross-sections:
- You can select and edit existing points by clicking a cross-section point in the tree structure or by clicking a point in the graphics area.
This way you can
change the coordinates of the point.
delete the selected point.
number the cross-section starting with the selected point.
insert an arc and fillet a corner point. You can use the shortcut menu to modify and delete these arcs later.
- When you click a side of the cross-section, you can use the shortcut menu to select the midpoint of the cross-section edge.
- By defining another cross-section within an existing cross-section, you can cut out areas or create composite cross-sections.
If you use the shortcut menu to select tools and cross-sections, the point clicked is used as the start point or reference point. - You can add discrete partial cross-sections by defining another cross-section after you have selected
Addition to Cross-Section.
If you use the shortcut menu to select tools and cross-sections, the point clicked is used as the start point or reference point.
You can remove additional partial cross-sections using
Delete Addition to Cross-Section.
