'Reinforcement type' tab
Create reinforcement according to
as / type
This is where you set whether the program calculates the reinforcement based on 'as-required' or you select it.
As-Value visible/invisible:
[cm²/m] Enter the default values for as-req. visible/invisible if you are reinforcing 'as-req.'.
Reinforcement type visible/invisible:
Enter the default values for reinforcement type visible/invisible for design. The list box includes all the entries that are defined in the reinforcement type catalog and assigned to the current factory.
Search criteria for reinforcement types:
If you are reinforcing in accordance with 'as-req.', this allows you to limit the reinforcement type entries to those satisfying the search criteria. The text entered here is used as the default and can be altered in the reinforcement parameters.
'Various' tab
Concrete cover visible/invisible:
[m] Enter the default values for concrete cover visible/invisible.
Span direction:
[Degree] Default value for the span direction of the reinforcement: The span direction (i.e., the direction of longitudinal bars or girders) is defined as 0 degrees at a wall. 90 degrees means that the longitudinal bars and girders are installed transverse to the wall.
Shortening of lattice girders at top/bottom: (double wall only)
[m] Default prompt for the girder shortening top or bottom.
Bar overlap/bending shape
Top/bottom, visible/invisible - Lateral, visible/invisible:
[m] Default prompt for bar overlap and overlap of bending shapes laterally at the panel joint and at the top and bottom of the panel (both visible and invisible).
If the bar overlaps specified are not created or if the value is 0.00 and neither manual entry nor Bending shapes at any edge produces a useful value, the general bar overlap is used.
Bar overlap/bending shape
Sides / Top/bottom:
Specify where the bar overlaps and bending shapes defined are to be created.
'Lattice girders' tab
Rotate girders:
Specify whether girders are rotated when attached reinforcement is used. When you check this box, girders are rotated by 180° about their longitudinal axis. This affects the number of illegal zones.
'Bending shape ...' tab
The following parameters apply to the 'TL/V' (top - bottom, visible), 'TL/I' (top - bottom, invisible), 'Edge/V' (sides, visible) and 'Edge/I' (sides, invisible) tabs.
Bending shape type:
This is where you select a bending shape type. You can see the bending shapes from the figures in this tab.
Height 1(a) / 2(c):
[cm] Default value for the height a or c. Negative values are in principle not allowed unless the total + slab thickness (see next parameter) results in a positive value. If the bending shape extends downwards, you can do this with a negative angle w.
+ slab thickness:
If this check box is selected, then the wall thickness is added to the height. You can have the default setting for the height as e.g., -5.0 cm, ensuring that the bending height is always 5 cm less than the wall thickness.
Length 1(b) / 2(d):
[cm] Default value for the segment length b or d.
+ bar overlap:
If this check box is selected, then the value entered for the overlap is added to the segment length. If the default setting for the length is 0.0 cm, then the length is the same as the bar overlap.
Angle (w):
[°] Default value for the angle (w). Permissible values: from -90° to +90° (exception: BS6 up to 180°). If this angle is negative, then the bending shape folds downwards.
Hook at end:
Angle (w):
[°] The angle for an end hook. This is always given with reference to the previous segment and the direction is always the same as the last bend. You can enter a negative value if the end hook is to be bent in the opposite direction to that of the last bend.
For acute angles (>90°) the program assumes the use of a bending pin (= 4x bar diameter).
Length (1):
[cm] Length of the end hook.
'Steel grades' tab
Steel grade for mesh, bars:
Enter the steel grade of the reinforcement used. The list box includes all the entries defined in the steel grade catalog.
Designed in accordance with the steel grade:
Enter the steel grade on which the calculations for the reinforcement will be based. The list box includes all the entries defined in the steel grade catalog.
