'Joint profiles' tab

Specify the presets for profiles at joints. You can change these parameters for each element and/or design calculation process.

Profile at panel joint:

Preset panel joints for design. The list box includes all the entries that are defined in the joint profile catalog and assigned to the current factory.

Move start/ end point inwards by bearing width

Enable this option if you do not wish to create a profile in the area of the support.

Move start/ end point inwards by

Enter a value by which the profile is to be shortened. When Move start/ end point inwards by bearing width is enabled, the bearing width is also added to this value.

'Display' tab

Plan display

Display type:

Specify how profiles are displayed in plan view. The following options are available:

• No view
• Innermost profile edge
• All profile edges

Display attributes:

Enter the required attributes as follows:
L=..., P=..., C=...
If you do not enter values, the defaults are used.

Profile label:

Specify how profiles are labeled in plan view. The following options are available:

• No label
• Name
• Icon
• Name and symbol
  

Display in element plan and edit element tool

Display in plan view:

Specify how profiles are displayed in plan view of the 3-pane view. The following options are available:

• No view
• Innermost profile edge
• All profile edges
• Exact
  Although this setting involves large volumes of data, the advantage is that slab elements are displayed precisely in 3D, hidden line images and animation. However, if you wish to proceed quickly, you should select one of the other options.

Note: With the Exact setting, you can use the docsize hotline tool in the Services application to increase the amount of memory reserved for documents to 256 MB maximum (depending on your hardware).

Display in front elevation / side elevation:

Specify how profiles are displayed in front elevation and side elevation of the 3-pane view. The following options are available:

• No view
• Simplified
• Exact (see note above)

Display attributes:

Enter the required attributes as follows:
L=..., P=..., C=...
If you do not enter values, the defaults are used.
