'Calculation method' tab
Calculation method for
equidistant: the spacers are placed at equal spacings on the cross bars. The number of spacers is calculated from the weight of the reinforcement supported by the cross bars and the maximum load capacity of a spacer. This applies to slabs and wall leaf II.
Fix girders: the spacers are positioned alternately left and right of the girders. This applies to wall leaf I.
Fix reinforcement: the cross bars at the edge fix the longitudinal bars by means of 2 spacers, and the girders by means of one spacer (under the girder). Spacers are placed evenly on the remainder of the cross bars. This applies to wall leaf I.
Spacer data for
short: transfers the values: spacer type, offset to edge and offset to axis.
full: all the values relating to the spacers are transferred. (necessary for non-equidistant calculation method)
Note:
Ensure that the reinforcement system has sufficient space when using the "fix girders" and "fix reinforcement" calculation methods and the "spacer data full" setting.
'Spacer type' tab
Spacer types 1(-6) for concrete cover:
Every concrete cover has an assigned spacer type.
The height of the spacer is normally the type number times 5.
Example: type 3: 0-0.019, Type 4: 0.02-0.10
Spacer type for top cross bars:
This spacer type is assigned to top cross bars at top (top reinforcement of solid precast units).
'Quantity takeoff' tab
Special information about spacers. Depending on the spacer calculation method you select the following parameters are used:
Max. load capacity of a spacer [kg]:
The number of spacers has the following effects: the program calculates the quantity of spacers from the load capacity of the spacer and the weight of reinforcement placed on a panel. Of course in the calculation of the quantity the following (self-explanatory) parameters have higher priority.
Note:
If the number of spacers is too high or too low, then you should change the spacer load capacity setting.
Min. edge distance:
Min. spacing between spacers:
Max. spacing between spacers:
Min. offset to bars:
Only applies for the "fix reinforcement" calculation method.
Min. offset to girder slab:
Only applies for the "fix reinforcement" or "fix girders" calculation methods.
Min. offset to girder leaf I:
Only applies for the "fix reinforcement" or "fix girders" calculation methods.
Min. offset to girder leaf II:
Only applies for the "fix reinforcement" or "fix girders" calculation methods.
Min. number per bar:
Max. number per bar:
You can have a maximum of 20.
Max. number per edge bar:
You can have a maximum of 150.
