Configuration of NC Generator, Reinforcement Parameters

NC generator configuration

'General' tab

Reinforcement production plants:

Long+cross, longitudinal wire, cross wire

Here you can set whether the reinforcement data is transferred to separate machines (longitudinal+cross), or whether all the reinforcement data goes to one machine irrespective of whether it is longitudinal or transverse wire (longitudinal wire or transverse wire). This would be the case if you were working with a machine that could produce both.

Compressing the reinforcement element data:

Bars with the same length and diameter that are placed parallel to one another on the pallet are not entered singly but rather as No. off/spacing. This considerably cuts down the volume of data e.g. by reducing 35 pieces of cross bar from 35 data blocks down to 1.

Max. spacing [m]:

The maximum spacing (parallel offset) between the elements to be compressed may be limited in certain cases. For UNITECHNIK drivers, compression can only be used within certain limits, so the value you enter has to be less than 1 (0.999).

Transfer non-producible bars:

Here you can set whether or not the program should create data for bars that cannot be physically produced (due to their length or diameter). Some process control computers can provide a statistical analysis of this data.

Calculate MWS cross bars of layer 2 as:

This setting only applies when the Mesh welding system parameter is deactivated in the General configuration entry, Data creation tab, and you have opted for two diameters in the configuration for attached reinforcement.

Using the Layer 1 setting, you can specify that the layer number of MWS cross bars of the second layer (second diameter) is set to layer 1. This ensures that the bars are not transferred as bars placed by hand. In addition, the way the reinforcement type is transferred depends on the interface.

Create bars with contract number:

This switch only works with the 'NCGASC30' driver (ASCII data). The contract data precedes every data block. However, this is only necessary in very special circumstances.

'Progress' tab

Settings for the progress reinforcement machine reports.

No. of regions:

No. of regions present. All bars are placed in a region per panel.

Transferring the project number:

As the progress reinforcement machine (NCGPRO10) can only process five digits of the project number, you can select five digits out of the project number that are transferred for this (x = transferred, _= not transferred).

Example: xxx__xx____

Create stop commands:

You can create a stop command that will bring the machine to a standstill. (NCGPRO10)

Options for bending shape transfer: (NCGPRO10)

0: the program transfers no bending shapes.

1: the program transfers all bending shapes. For reinforcement systems with an automatic bending machine.

2: the program only transfers cranked bending shapes. For reinforcement systems with a wire bending device.

3: the program transfers all bending shapes. For combined reinforcement systems.

Create data palletwise:

Yes: the program creates the data based on the pallets, i.e., each pallet has its own set of data. You should select this option if the reinforcement machine is controlled by a process control computer.

No: the program writes all the production into one file. You should select this option if the reinforcement machine is controlled from a floppy disk.

Max. file size [kB]:

The program reduces larger files to the limit you specify here.

Compress the bending shapes:

Shortened form of bending shape data. See progress interface definition.

Offset in x /y directions:

Some interfaces (NCGPRO20, 30) do not permit negative coordinates. This can arise when bars overlap the pallet edge. An offset is added to the coordinates to avoid negative values.

Create list of regions:

A list is created as an ASCII-format file.

Page length for list or regions:

A form feed (CHR12) is sent based on the value you specify here.
