Module(s): Pallet loading, options
Basic information on these methods: the program manages each pallet using two fields, one in the x direction and one in the y direction. When you place a panel, the program assigns the remaining area to the x and y fields. Basically, the cross shutter is used for the x field and the longitudinal shutter for the y field. In general, the program attempts to place a panel as near to the start of the pallet as possible.
X direction:
The program only checks in the x field whether the panel can be placed.
Y direction:
The program only checks in the y field whether the panel can be placed. In practice this setting is not used. If there is a fitting piece at the start of the pallet, there is no room for a wider panel on the pallet as only the remaining y fields are checked. However, you can set this parameter temporarily in order to place a longer fitted panel beside a shorter panel, which has already been placed. In this case, the cross shutter is ignored.
X or Y:
The x field is checked first and then the y field if there is no solution.
Y or X:
The y field is checked first and then the x field if there is no solution.
Area:
The program checks both the x and y fields for possible placing. The field with the most capacity remaining will be used.
