Copying light sources

Tool(s): Set Project Light

You can copy one or more artificial light sources you defined for a project.

To copy artificial light sources

  1. Click Set Project Light (How).

    The Set project light palette opens.

    The Project light area lists all the light sources defined for the project. In addition, you can see the lights sources in the viewports.

  2. To copy a single light source, click it in the palette or in a viewport.

    Or:

    To copy several light sources, enclose them in a selection rectangle or use the brackets.

    The Edit light palette opens and the light sources are displayed in the selection color in the open viewports.

    Tip: If you have inadvertently selected the wrong light source, all you need to do is return to the Set project light palette and select the light source you need.

  3. Click Copy light at the bottom of the palette.
  4. Click the start point or enter the values for dX, dY and dZ directly.
  5. Click the target point and enter the number of copies.
  6. Press ESC to quit the tool.
