Production data transfer

Module(s): Production Planning

When you are finished with a drawing in the CAD program, you can use the Production Data Transfer tool to create a project file and continue to work with the external Program.

To create a project file

1. Click Production Data Transfer (How).
   

   Activate Production Data Transfer in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Precast Factories Production Planning

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Production Planning

2. Select the desired precast elements.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   For more information on the options available for selecting elements in Allplan, see Selecting elements, overview.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

3. Enter a file name for the slab and wall elements.

   The program creates a project file in the ..\Allplan\Prj\DECP or \WANP folder. The file name that is proposed by the program can be defined in the configuration for process planning.
   Although the project files are created in the ...\Allplan\Usr\Local\DECP or \WANP folder in the private project (empty project < >), the external process planning program cannot read them from this folder.

   The top part of the dialog box shows the existing project files, which can be overwritten with new data. All you need to do is click the relevant file(s). Click to enter the proposed file name.
   The attributes defined for the project are displayed in the bottom part of the dialog box. You can change these entries.

4. Click OK to confirm or Cancel to quit without creating a project file.

   Depending on the configuration, the program for process planning and the relevant module start and/or or the data is processed (in batch mode).
