Chamfer edge

Using Chamfer Edge, you chamfer some or all edges of a 3D solid by defining an offset.

To chamfer the edges of a solid

1. Click Chamfer Edge (How).
   

   Activate Chamfer Edge in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   3D Modeling

2. Define the parameters:
   • Enter the Chamfer width. Starting from the selected edges, Allplan applies this value in both directions.
   • Specify whether you want to chamfer All edges in a single step.
3. Click the solid you want to edit.

   

   Allplan displays the solid in construction line color.

4. Specify which edges you want to chamfer:
   • Click the edges you want to chamfer one after the other in isometric view.
   • If you have selected All edges, Allplan immediately chamfers all edges of the solid.

     Note: Allplan always selects curves and their tangential extension lines together.

     Allplan displays a preview of the resulting solid.

5. You can now change the Chamfer width using the handles or by entering a value. This change applies to all the edges you have selected.

   

6. Click Apply.

   Allplan saves the solid.
