Modeling connections

Module(s): Precast Slab + Precast Wall + Structural Precast Elements

You can use the Model Connections tool to model connections between precast elements. The assignment is always retained even if the modeled objects are within several precast elements. You can also use this tool in the Precast Wall module to modify existing wall connections.

To model connections or modify wall connections

1. Click Model Connections (How).
   The Edit Element and Element Plan Context toolbars also include this tool.
   

   Activate Model Connections in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Precast Precast Slab/Precast Wall/Structural Precast Elements

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Precast Slab

   Precast Wall

   Structural Precast Elements

2. Define the parameters by clicking .
3. The procedure varies depending on the outline you select:
   • Polyline:
     Use the standard polyline entry tools to enter the outline of the area in plan. If you are currently working in the special window provided in the Edit Element and Element Plan tools (Create toolbar), you can enter the outline in any view.
   • Lengthen wall leaf:
     Click the leaf or the component in plan and enter a value in the dialog line or click a point to define the new length of the leaf or component.
4. Specify the top and bottom by entering values in the dialog line or by clicking the start and end in a reference view.
5. You can see the modifications on screen.
