In-wall junction for double walls
Tool(s): Connections
For double walls you can create a user-defined formwork section for the ends. These are the walls for which double wall was selected in the Design Mode dialog box.
To create an in-wall junction for double walls
- Click
Modify Design (How). - On the Context toolbar, click
Connections. Note: To modify a wall, you can also double-click the triangle symbol, which indicates the viewing direction, with the left mouse button or open the shortcut menu of the triangle symbol and select Properties. In this case, the function you selected the last time is automatically set for the selected design.
Press ESC, if necessary, and select
Connections.
- Click Manu (manual) in the Input options.
- A search area is now displayed at the crosshairs. Click the double wall on the end of which you wish to create a connection.
Click the relevant wall end. - Click with the right mouse button in the workspace or click OK to confirm the selected connection type.
- There are then different ways to proceed:
- When you click
, the program automatically adjusts the length of the individual leaves to the new connection. - You can also change the connection of each leaf manually. Either define the new leaf end of the selected wall leaf by clicking in the workspace or press ESC and enter the value by which the leaf is to be shortened in the dialog line. The leaves are enabled one after the other. Click
to confirm the changes.
- The connection is then displayed graphically.
Note:
If there are columns within the wall, you need to divide the wall near the columns using the
Delete Section of Linear Component tool to ensure that the in-wall junction is created correctly.
