Tool(s): Model Precast Elements

The following parameters are provided in the dialog box:

Path

Use this to specify whether the object entered stretches across an area that can be defined freely (Start and end point) or across an entire Shell or Component.

When set to Shell or Component, the area can only be entered in a specific view of the Edit Element tool (depending on the element type) and the height of the component defines the spatial extension; when set to Start and end point, on the other hand, you can enter the area in any view of the Edit Element tool and define the extension by clicking points in a reference view.

Interaction with precast unit

You can specify whether the object entered is added to the precast unit (Positive) or whether it cuts out the precast unit (Negative).

General display

When you check the Construction lines box, the modeled element is displayed as construction lines and can thus be disabled in Show/Hide and the Print Preview.

When the according to general settings option is enabled, the settings on the Format toolbar are used. Otherwise, the settings you make here apply.

Display in plan

When the Create hatching/pattern/fill option is enabled, the settings you make here are used to make things more apparent on screen.

Note: The selected color is only displayed when the Color stands for pen option is disabled in Show/Hide.
