Modeling precast elements

You can use the
Model Precast Elements tool to modify the geometry of precast elements.
To model the geometry of precast elements
- Click
Model Precast Elements (How).
The
Edit Element and
Element Plan Context toolbars also include this tool. - Define the parameters by clicking
. - Use the standard polyline entry tools to enter the outline of the area. The approach varies depending on the selected path:
- Start point and end point:
enter the outline in plan or in any view (when you are working in the window of the
Edit Element or
Element Plan tool (Create toolbar)). - Shell or Component:
enter the outline in plan. If you are using one of the tools mentioned above, enter the outline as follows:
- in plan (precast slabs)
- in front elevation (precast walls)
- in elevation (structural precast elements)
- If the path is set to Start and end point, you can enter values in the dialog line to specify the top and bottom levels. Alternatively, click the start and end points in a reference view in the window of the Edit Element tool.
If the path is set to Shell or Component, the program automatically uses the entire height of the selected leaf or component. - You can see the modifications on screen.
