Layout and data output for element plans

Tool(s): Element Plan in Batch Run

Layout output

Select the Change notices option. The Text for change notices line appears. Click to open a dialog box where you can specify whether change notices are changed and which elements are affected by the changes.

Select the Printer option to add the element plans you have created to a list and to print them together. If you then include elements with existing element plans created manually of which the sheet size and/or orientation do not match the settings of the selected layout or if you have specified several sheets of varying sizes and/or orientation for the selected layout, you can specify which formats are to be printed in a dialog box.
You can switch off individual formats. This can be useful if the printer does not detect formats automatically. All the sheets of the selected formats are created one after the other and can be printed.

Click DXF, DWG and/or PDF and specify a folder where the element plans created as files in DXF, DWG or PDF format are to be saved. If you have already specified the path in the configurations, you cannot select a folder.
When element plans are created in PDF format, you can configure the program to additionally generate a 3D PDF model. In this case, you can view individual elements in 3D using Acrobat Reader Version 7 and later.

3D PDF files are created with the following settings:

There is currently no facility for setting the parameters. Please note that the volume of data increases significantly when you create 3D PDF files.

Note: As opposed to the manual creation of 3D PDF files, a preview of the current element in the 3D PDF file is not displayed. To select the special 3D functions in Acrobat Reader, click the general 3D image, which serves as a placeholder for the actual image.

Enable the HPGL option and choose whether to create HPGL/2 monochrome or color format files. In addition, you can specify whether element plans are to be printed directly or whether they are to be saved in the selected folder. If you have already specified the path in the configurations, you cannot select a folder.

Data output

Select the BVBS option and specify a folder to save reinforcement and bending information to an element-based ASCII file. The data can then be transferred to a task setup program for bending machines. The file format is compatible with the BVBS reinforcement interface guidelines. If you have already specified the path in the configurations, you cannot select a folder.

Note: When BVBS files are created, the local mark numbers of element plans are always taken into account.
The Bending Machine tool of the Bar Reinforcement module in the engineering family neither creates element-based ABS files nor uses local mark numbers. The file always includes the data of all the precast elements in the drawing file and the global mark numbers.
