Adjust Span Direction to Bottom of Panel

Tool(s): Edit Element + Element Plan

You can use this tool to adjust the span direction of wall reinforcement to sloping element edges (top/bottom level).

To adjust the direction of span to the bottom

1. Select Adjust Span Direction to Bottom of Panel on the Edit Element Context toolbar.
2. Enter the first point of the sloping edge by clicking it.
3. Enter the second point of the sloping edge by clicking it. After you have entered these two points, the position of the arrow indicating the direction of span changes.
4. Enter a value (in degrees) for the span direction in the dialog line or use the Context toolbar to define the span direction in one of the following ways:
   • Click to define the span direction by entering two points.
   • Click the data entry box to enter a value for the span direction at the keyboard.
   • Click to change the direction of span in the active placement field by +90 degrees.
5. Click OK to confirm the entries.
6. The reinforcement calculated is displayed graphically.
7. You can continue to edit elements or quit the tool with ESC.
