Formats of section

Tool(s): Section Along Curve + Modify Section Along Curve

Using this palette, you can define how the section looks.

Display section edges

Display boundary lines

You can choose to display boundary lines for notional edges. The program produces these edges at the end of the clipping path. They do not represent the end of a real area.
You can define the Overlap in [mm] as well as the Pen, Line type, Color and Layer for the boundary lines.

If you do not select this option, the edges are not visible.

Tip: In order to display the notional edges in the same way as visible edges, select this option, enter 0.00 for the overlap and set the format properties for the boundary lines so that they match those of the visible edges.

Display section edges with a thick line

You can choose to use a thick line for edges enclosing components. You can specify whether this is to apply only to the enclosing edges or to all edges. In the first case, the program uses the format properties of the model data for all other edges.
You can define the Pen, Line type, Color and Layer for the thick line.

If you do not select this option, the program uses the format properties of the model data for all edges.

Adjacent edges

Eliminate

Specify whether you want the program to merge adjoining surfaces. In addition, you can define the Maximum angle.
If you select the Eliminate option in addition to the Display adjacent edges between different surface elements or Display adjacent edges when material changes option, you can display adjacent edges when you change the surface elements (for example, hatching, pattern, fill) or the material within a component.

Note: To specify whether the surface elements or the material is decisive, open the Options and make the corresponding setting in the Components and architecture area on the Components page.

Display section surfaces

Surface elements from components

You can choose to display the intersected areas of architectural components and 3D objects together with their surface elements assigned.
