View type palette (for sketch rendering method)

You can use the Sketch rendering method to display the model as a freehand sketch. Only 3D elements are visible.

The predefined Sketch view type is based on this rendering method.

Note: You can select the Sketch rendering method only if the Use OpenGL for all viewports option is active in Options - Desktop environment - Display. This applies to all view types using the Sketch rendering method.

Parameters

Name

You can change the name of the view type.

Rendering method

Sketch (cannot be changed for the predefined Sketch view type)

Settings

Line type

You can select the pen for the edges, such as pencil 1 to 3, freehand, ball pen, felt pen and thick felt pen.

Thickness

You can define the pen thickness for the edges.

Extension of edges

You can extend the edges by entering a value in pixels.

Level of detail

You can adjust the visibility of edges or lines in accordance with their length in pixels.

Remove adjacent edges

You can choose to remove adjacent edges in accordance with the angle set (similar to the Hidden rendering method).

Angle, Sensitivity

Only if the Remove adjacent edges option is active

Specify an angle up to which surfaces are merged.

You can choose to display surfaces.

Using the Post process options, you can put the finishing touches to a view type (most options are best suited for view types using the Shaded rendering method):
