Exporting to VRML, DAE, KMZ, 3DS, U3D

Shortcut menu in navigation mode

You can use Export to VRML, DAE, KMZ, 3DS, U3D to create files from the Allplan animation model in the following presentation formats:

• VRML format (*.WRL)
• DAE formats 1.4.1 and 1.5.0 for COLLADA (*.DAE)
• KMZ format for Google Earth (*.KMZ)
• 3DS format (*.3DS)
• Universal 3D format (*.U3D)

These files can be exported and edited in other programs.

To export data to other 3D formats

1. Click Export to VRML, DAE, KMZ, 3DS, U3D (How).
   

   Activate Export to VRML, DAE, KMZ, 3DS, U3D in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File Export
   • Shortcut menu: Navigation Mode selected - Right mouse button - Export 3D Data
2. In the Save File dialog box, specify the file format for the movie model:
   • WRL - VRML file to save the Allplan movie model in VRML format
   • DAE - COLLADA 1.4.1 or 1.5.0 file to save the Allplan movie model in COLLADA format
   • KMZ - Google Earth file to save the Allplan movie model in Google Earth format
   • 3DS - 3D Studio file
   • U3D - Universal 3D file
3. In the Save File dialog box, enter a name and specify the path where to save the movie model.
4. Click Save.

   Note: You can define more settings for COLLADA and KMZ:

   A file is created automatically in the selected format and saved in the selected path.
