Modifying the properties of documents

The properties assigned to layout elements when they were placed can be modified later. You can also modify several layout elements in a single step.
To modify the properties of documents
- Click
Modify Layout Window (How). - Click List, edit layout window elements and select a layout window.
- Click a column head to sort the layout elements in the column by different types of .
This disables the Sequence as in layout option.
- Modify the layout elements' properties in one of the following ways:
- Click an entry in the columns 4 to 14 to modify a single property of the selected layout element.
- Click a layout element with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, select Properties to modify several properties of the selected layout element.
You can replace the layout element by clicking the
button beside the document name. The new layout element is placed so that it is congruent. - Select several layout elements by clicking an entry in the first three columns. Then press and hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys and click an entry in the columns 4 to 14 of the layout element you selected last. Now you can modify exactly this property of all the selected layout elements.
When you change the element visibility based on layers using the Layer/print set column, the different drawing types of the individual layout elements remain unchanged unless you explicitly select a common drawing type. - Select several layout elements by clicking an entry in the first three columns. Then click any entry of a layout element with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, select Properties. Now you can modify several properties of the selected layout elements.
- Click OK to confirm the settings.
Notes:
- You can use
Load favorite on the shortcut menu or in the Properties dialog box to retrieve (and, if you want, modify) the settings of one or more layout elements you have saved as a favorite file. You can use
Save as a favorite to save all the settings of the current layout element (with the exception of the angle) as a favorite file. - In the list you can use the SHIFT key to select a range of adjacent layout elements and the CTRL key to select a series of non-adjacent layout elements.
To select all layout elements, open the shortcut menu of any layout element and click Select All. - Layout elements within a layout window must always have the same scale and angle. When you modify one of these properties of a layout element, all the other layout elements within the same layout window will update automatically to reflect any changes you have made.
