Using print profiles
Using print profiles
When printing layouts or creating PDF files, you can use a print profile to give a uniform look-and-feel to your layouts.
To use print profiles
- Click
Print Layouts (How). - Select the Print profile tab.
- Select the Use print profile check box or click the button to the right.
- Select the print profile file you want to use.
Notes:
- In the Open on a project-specific basis: layouts dialog box, you can use the shortcut menu to assign a print profile from any path to several selected layouts.
- The print profile is saved together with the layout and selected automatically the next time you open the layout. You can temporarily change the settings of the print profile for a single print operation.
- When you print in batch mode, the print profile you select here and any temporary changes only apply to the current layout. The changes are not saved in the print profile. Layouts with print profiles always print with their associated print profile. The global print settings are used for layouts without print profiles.
To use print profiles for creating PDF files
- In the Layout module, click
Export PDF Data (How).
Or:
Open the
Print Preview and click
Export PDF Data. - Select the layouts using the Layout structure.
- In the Export PDF Data dialog box, select the Use print profile check box.
- Click the button to the right and select the print profile file you want to use.
Note: The print profile you select here has a higher priority rating than the print profiles that are saved directly in layouts, and it is used for all the PDF files that are created in batch mode. This setting is saved in the favorite file and can thus be used in conjunction with
Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution.
