Chamfer by specifying angle and distance

Module(s): Draft + Advanced Draft + 3D Modeling

To chamfer the angle between elements by specifying a distance and an angle

1. Click Chamfer (How).
   

   Activate Chamfer in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Draft and Change Advanced Draft and Change 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Draft

   • Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Advanced Draft

   • Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   3D Modeling

   • Configuration: Landscaping/Urban Planning Advanced Draft flyout
2. Click the elements.
3. Click General in the input options.
4. Enter the distance on the first element in one of the following ways:
   • Click in the workspace. The system will drop a perpendicular from the point clicked onto the element
   • Enter the distance as a numeric value in the dialog line (the value represents the distance from the point where the elements intersect). Then, click one of the construction points displayed by the system.
5. Click Angle in the Input options.
6. Enter the angle.
7. Select one of the construction points presented by the system.
