Exporting Allplan file for Frilo disc

You can use the Export Allplan File for Frilo Disc tool to export architectural components and design entities as DXF files. You can then import the data of this file to the FE program for discs provided by FRILO Software GmbH, where you can use the data as a design aid. This way, you can edit structural changes in the FE program without losing anything.

To export architectural components and design entities as a DXF file

1. Click Export Allplan File for Frilo Disc (How).
   

   Activate Export Allplan File for Frilo Disc in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Frilo Structural Analyses Frilo Disc

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Frilo Disc

2. Select the architectural components or design entities you want to transfer.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   For more information on the options available for selecting elements in Allplan, see Selecting elements, overview.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   Allplan creates the DXF file and saves it to the data exchange folder (...\i_o) in the current project. The name of the current drawing file is used for the name of the DXF file.

3. Start the FE program for discs provided by FRILO Software GmbH and import the geometric data using File - Import - ASCII.

   Note: The path of the DXF file you created last is copied to the Clipboard. When importing to the FE program for discs, you can paste this path directly from the Clipboard into the File name data entry box.

4. Make entries and calculate the data in the FE program.
5. Before you quit the FE program, export the results so that you can import them into Allplan using the Import FEA Files tool.
