Roof planes, custom planes

Representation in 3D in elevation and isometric views

When you select this option, roof planes and custom planes are also visible in elevation and isometric viewports of the Wireframe view type. When this option is not selected, they are only visible in plan view.

Print printable

The outlines of roof planes and custom planes are usually drawn as construction lines; therefore, they are visible on screen but not included in printouts. Select the Print printable option to include the planes in printouts.

Default setting, fixed format properties

When this option is selected, you can assign fixed format properties (pen, line, color and layer) to roof planes and custom planes.

Pen, line, color

You can specify the format properties (pen, line, color) you want to use to display roof planes and custom planes.

Note: Custom planes retain the (fixed) format properties with which they were created. You can change these properties using Modify Format Properties.

Layer

You can assign a layer to the planes. When you have not selected a layer, the DEFAULT layer is used for planes.

Surface

You can assign a surface (for example, a transparent glass surface) to roof planes and custom planes. This surface is used for animation. Use the Options - Desktop environment - Animation to define how planes look in viewports with the Animation view type.
