Overview of options (Overview of options, Configurations)
Saving, retrieving and resetting options
You can make general settings for planes in this dialog box.
Default reference planes
Height at bottom, height at top
Enter the height of the top and bottom of the default planes. Allplan uses these height settings for all drawing files that are not part of a building structure.
Representation in 3D in elevation and isometric views
When you select this option, default planes appear as a square of 2mx2m at the origin in all views in viewports of the Wireframe view type.
Pen, line, color
You can define the pen, line and color. These settings are used to display the default planes on screen.
Surface
You can assign a surface (for example, a transparent glass surface) to the planes. This surface is used for animation. Use the Options - Desktop environment - Animation to define how planes look in viewports with the Animation view type.
Note: You need to select Restore 3D View to adjust the plane display to the size of the current 3D model and to apply the settings of the format properties.
Roof planes, custom reference planes
Representation in 3D in elevation and isometric views
When you select this option, roof planes and custom planes are also visible in elevation and isometric viewports of the Wireframe view type. When this option is not selected, they are only visible in plan view.
Print printable
The outlines of roof planes and custom planes are usually drawn as construction lines; therefore, they are visible on screen but not included in printouts. Select the Print printable option to include the planes in printouts.
Default setting, fixed format properties
When this option is selected, you can assign fixed format properties (pen, line, color and layer) to roof planes and custom planes.
Pen, line, color
You can specify the format properties (pen, line, color) you want to use to display roof planes and custom planes.
Note: Custom planes retain the (fixed) format properties with which they were created. You can change these properties using Modify Format Properties.
Layer
You can assign a layer to the planes. When you have not selected a layer, the DEFAULT layer is used for planes.
Surface
You can assign a surface (for example, a transparent glass surface) to roof planes and custom planes. This surface is used for animation. Use the Options - Desktop environment - Animation to define how planes look in viewports with the Animation view type.
