When you modify one of these definition elements with (
Modify Smart Symbol) or or one of its instances with (
Modify Smart Symbol Instance’s Attributes), you can also choose to automatically update all instances of the smart symbol in question. You can use 
Replace Smart Symbol, SmartPart to find and replace specific or all instances of a smart symbol.
For example:
The chair symbols, which have been defined as a smart symbol, are to be replaced.
(A) Existing chair
(B) New chair
(1) Original display
(2) Smart symbol replaced
(3) Modified smart symbol (including all instances)
