Parallel Surfaces

Module(s): 3D Modeling

You can use the Parallel Surfaces tool to draw surfaces parallel to existing ones.

To draw a surface parallel to an existing one

1. Click Parallel Surfaces (How).
   

   Activate Parallel Surfaces in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   3D Modeling

   • Configuration: Design Boolean Solids flyout
2. Define the surface in one of the following ways:
   • Specify 3 corners.
   • Specify 2 edges.
   • Specify an edge and a corner.
3. Define the position of the parallel surface in one of the following ways:
   • Place a point through which the surface is to pass.
   • enter the offset distance to the new, parallel surface(s), specify the direction of propagation and enter the desired number of parallel surfaces.
4. Press ESC to quit the tool.
