Module(s): 3D Modeling
You can use the Create 3rd Solid from Common Volume of 2 Solids tool to create a third solid from the common volume of two solids. You can also use this tool to create a third surface from the overlapping area of 3D surfaces; the overlapping area is retained as a discrete 3D surface.
Note: The solid you select first defines the properties and attributes of the new solid. The other solid retains its properties and attributes.
To create a third solid from the common volume of two solids
Three solids or three 3D surfaces are created.
Note: The elements must be of the same type (either solids or 3D surfaces).
