Exchange favorite 10: import - paper space as layout

You can use this exchange favorite to import a file with an AutoCAD layout into Allplan's layout edit mode. Allplan automatically creates the drawing files (model space), the layout (paper space), the layout elements (viewport) and the reference scale of the drawing files. When you import AutoCAD layouts, Allplan only processes data of AutoCAD's paper space (layout). Depending on the setting made, AutoCAD layers are created on the layers of the drawing files.

Application	This exchange favorite can only be used in layout edit mode.
Import	AutoCAD paper space -> Allplan layout
Export	This exchange favorite is not suitable for exporting data.
Result	Allplan creates a layout (AutoCAD's paper space) and a drawing file with layers (AutoCAD's model space).
Layers only	AutoCAD layers cannot be arranged on drawing files during the import process. It is essential that you work with layers.

Note: A file may contain several AutoCAD layouts, which can be imported using exchange favorite 15. Each AutoCAD layout is imported to a separate Allplan layout.
You can use the preview to display the AutoCAD layouts in the file via the shortcut menu.
