Transferring layer visibility

You can use the Transfer Layer Visibility tool modify the layer visibility settings (print set) of documents you have already placed in the layout. This way, you can generate different views of the layout without having to assemble a new one.

To modify the layer visibility of layout elements

1. If you are working with layout windows or congruent layout elements and you want to select a specific layout element, switch on the Selection Option for Ambiguous Elements on/off on the Filter Assistant
2. Click Transfer Layer Visibility (How).
   

   Activate Transfer Layer Visibility in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Layout

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Layout

3. Click a layout element or click in a layout window.
4. If the program finds several layout elements at the point clicked, you can select the required layout element in a dialog box (provided Selection Option for Ambiguous Elements on/off is on).

   Allplan takes the settings of the layout element selected. You can now change these settings.

5. Choose a setting in the ‘Element Visibility’ dialog box.
6. Select the layout elements to which you want to assign a new setting.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

7. If the program finds several layout elements at the point clicked, you can select the required layout elements in a dialog box (provided Selection Option for Ambiguous Elements on/off is on).
