Importing data serving as the basis for your design

If available, you can integrate existing data in the copied template project. You can then use this data as the basis for your design.

Some examples:

• A layout available as a bitmap can be inserted in a drawing file and placed in the background; however, points are not snapped.
• Layouts available as DWG or DXF files can be imported.
• Layouts available as PDF files can be imported; however, do not use the point snap tools, which might produce inaccurate results.
• You can use the tools in the Scan module to insert and edit scanned layouts.
• If Allplan data is available, you can copy the relevant drawing files to the copied template project or another project and convert them to as-built data.
• You can use the Creating walls from 2D plan tool to automatically extrude walls based on floor plans consisting of two-dimensional lines.
• In addition, you can use the Create Walls from Rooms tool to automatically create walls based on Allplan rooms.
• Data from OnSite Survey can be transferred as components to Allplan and edited there.
