Tool(s): Axis Grid for Precast Elements + Modify Grid for Precast Elements
You can specify parameters for axis grids using three tabs: General, X direction and Y direction.
General tab
Axis grid
Angle in X direction
Angle between global and local x axes.
Angle in Y direction
Angle between global and local y axes.
Type of axis line
3D lines are always displayed in 3D views. 2D lines are only displayed in 3D views when you have selected the 2D elements in 3D views option in Show/Hide. You cannot change this parameter when making modifications.
Format
Global
When you select this option, the display parameters you specify for the Pen thickness, Line type and Line color are used for both directions.
In this case, you cannot make format settings on the X direction and Y direction tabs.
Text parameters
Global
When you select this option, the text parameters you specify for the Font, Height, Width, Aspect and Angle for text in italics are used for both directions.
In this case, you cannot make format settings on the X direction and Y direction tabs.
Enter the height and width of the text in [mm] and the angle in [degrees]. When you change the aspect (height:width ratio), the text width changes. The text height remains constant.
X direction + Y direction tabs
Axis grid
Axis grid
When you select this option, the program uses the following parameters to create axis lines in the relevant direction. Otherwise, you cannot enter any parameters.
No. of regions
Enter the number of regions. You can specify different values for the spacing between the axis.lines.
Region no.
Click and
to select the region you want to define. Then enter the Number of offsets and define the Axis offset.
Based on these entries, the program calculates the number of axes. It automatically creates an additional axis in the last region.
Axis overlap
Specify the length by which grid lines protrude over the actual grid.
Format
Define the display parameters (Pen thickness, Line type, Line color) unless you have selected the Global option on the General tab. If you have selected the global option, you cannot change the values. You cannot change the layer.
Label
Label
When you select this option, the program uses the following parameters to label the axes. Otherwise, you cannot enter any parameters.
Position
Specify the side on which the axis is to be labeled.
Offset to axis
Enter the offset distance between the label and the grid line in the unit of length set.
Angle of rotation
A list box opens. Select an angle at which the label is to be placed.
Format
Use this to specify a numbering format for the axis.
Starting position
Enter the initial value for the grid labels in accordance with the label's format set: when the format is set to , enter 10.F, for example.
If you leave this empty, the grid is labeled with the first number in each case.
Starting position
Specify on which side the label is to begin.
Symbol / Symbol shape
When you select this option, the program applies a symbol with the selected Symbol shape around the label.
Text parameters
Define the text parameters (Font, Height, Width, Aspect and Angle for text in italics) unless you have selected the Global option on the General tab. If you have selected the global option, you cannot change the values.
Enter the height and width of the text in [mm] and the angle in [degrees]. When you change the aspect (height:width ratio), the text width changes. The text height remains constant.
