Axis grid for precast elements
Module(s): Structural Precast Elements
You can use the
Axis Grid for Precast Elements tool to create axis lines at any angle and spaced at a value you specify. You can also generate an individual axis.
When creating an axis grid, you can define different display parameters (pen, line and color) and labels for each axis line in the X and Y directions as well as subdivide the grid into several regions and enter different values for the spacing between axis lines in these regions.
Right-clicking in the input area of the palette opens a shortcut menu where you can show and hide the graphics at the top of the palette and the at the bottom.
In addition, you can add the currently selected area or parameter to the quick input list and move QuickInput to the top of the palette so that it is the first tab displayed in the palette. Similarly, you can remove the currently selected area or parameter from the quick input list. As soon as you remove the last parameter from the quick input list, the QuickInput tab is hidden. To make sure that QuickInput is always open when the palette starts, select Start with QuickInput on the shortcut menu.

Axis Grid for Precast Elements (How). - Select Grid or Axis in the Selection tab at the top of the Axis Grid palette to specify whether you want to create an axis grid or an individual axis.
- When you have selected Grid, a preview of the axis grid is immediately displayed attached to the crosshairs. The preview changes with the parameters you enter. You can still modify the parameters even when you have already placed the axis grid in the workspace.
