Structural precast element

Module(s): Structural Precast Elements

You can use the Structural Precast Element tool to create columns, foundations, beams, girders, stairs, walls, slabs and any 3D objects as structural precast elements.

Right-clicking in the input area of the palette opens a shortcut menu where you can show and hide the graphics at the top of the palette and the description at the bottom.
In addition, you can add the currently selected area or parameter to the quick input list and move QuickInput to the top of the palette so that it is the first tab displayed in the palette. Similarly, you can remove the currently selected area or parameter from the quick input list. As soon as you remove the last parameter from the quick input list, the QuickInput tab is hidden. To make sure that QuickInput is always open when the palette starts, select Start with QuickInput on the shortcut menu.

To create a structural precast element

  1. Click Structural Precast Element (How).
  2. Select a subtype in the Selection tab at the top of the Structural Precast Elements palette.
  3. Specify the parameters of the selected precast element.

When you have selected the conversion of an architectural object or 3D object for the Input option, the program will place the precast element automatically. In this case, continue at step 6.

  4. In the input options, define the reference point or line by clicking, and, if necessary, mirror the precast element about the component's local X axis and/or Y axis.
  5. Enter the angle of rotation in the dialog line and place the precast element or specify the endpoints of linear precast elements by clicking in the workspace.
  6. If necessary, change the parameters and press ESC to finish or select another tool in the toolbox.

You can create another Structural Precast Element or the associated Component Reinforcement for the Stair subtype. You can also switch to the Element Pan tool.
