Multi-pitch roof plane

You can use the
Multi-Pitch Roof Plane tool to create multi-pitch roof planes without entering custom planes.
Right-clicking in the input area of the palette opens a shortcut menu where you can show and hide the graphics at the top of the palette and the at the bottom.
In addition, you can add the currently selected area or parameter to the quick input list and move QuickInput to the top of the palette so that it is the first tab displayed in the palette. Similarly, you can remove the currently selected area or parameter from the quick input list. As soon as you remove the last parameter from the quick input list, the QuickInput tab is hidden. To make sure that QuickInput is always open when the palette starts, select Start with QuickInput on the shortcut menu.
To create a multi-pitch roof plane
- Click
Multi-Pitch Roof Plane (How). - Click Roof type to specify whether you want to define planes of a rectangular outline by entering parameters (= Rectangle). As an alternative you can define the outline of the roof, ridge and hip/valley lines by clicking points or lines. To do this, select General.
- When you have selected Rectangle, enter parameters for the Length and Width of the roof outline and specify whether the Ridge is to be centered. If necessary, enter the offset of the ridge. In addition, decide whether the program is to create Hip/valley lines and specify the number of different and the offsets. If the Hip/valley lines option is not selected, the program will create a simple gable roof.
- When have selected General, design the Roof outline, Ridge and the Hip/valley lines in the workspace. You can click
Enter start of ... in the relevant line if you want to modify the geometry later.
- Define the in the Roof plane area.
- Enter the angle of rotation in the dialog line and place the multi-pitch roof plane.
- If necessary, change the parameters and press ESC to finish.
Notes:
- You can use
Save as a favorite to save the settings and
Load favorite to read the settings back into the palette, where you can modify them. Click Favorite QuickSelect to select from the five favorites you have used most recently.

Options to modify the settings of the Configuration menu. - To modify the multi-pitch roof plane, you can use the properties palette.
