Multi-pitch roof plane

Module(s): Structural Precast Elements

You can use the Multi-Pitch Roof Plane tool to create multi-pitch roof planes without entering custom planes.

Right-clicking in the input area of the palette opens a shortcut menu where you can show and hide the graphics at the top of the palette and the description at the bottom.
In addition, you can add the currently selected area or parameter to the quick input list and move QuickInput to the top of the palette so that it is the first tab displayed in the palette. Similarly, you can remove the currently selected area or parameter from the quick input list. As soon as you remove the last parameter from the quick input list, the QuickInput tab is hidden. To make sure that QuickInput is always open when the palette starts, select Start with QuickInput on the shortcut menu.

To create a multi-pitch roof plane

  1. Click Multi-Pitch Roof Plane (How).
  2. Click Roof type to specify whether you want to define planes of a rectangular outline by entering parameters (= Rectangle). As an alternative you can define the outline of the roof, ridge and hip/valley lines by clicking points or lines. To do this, select General.
  3. Define the parameters in the Roof plane area.
  4. Enter the angle of rotation in the dialog line and place the multi-pitch roof plane.
  5. If necessary, change the parameters and press ESC to finish.
