Behavior of wall-column connections when elements are moved, copied and deleted

Tool(s): Connections

When you edit a wall-column connection, there are different ways to proceed, depending on whether you move, copy or delete the connection, column or wall.

Moving a connection

When you move a connection into a different wall-column connection, a wall-column connection is created there. When you move a connection into a different column, wall or into the empty workspace, the program deletes the connection in question as it is not able to create a wall-column connection.

Moving a column or wall

When you move a column into a different wall or a wall into a different column, a wall-column connection is created there. When you move a column or wall into the empty workspace, the program deletes the connection in question as it is not able to create a wall-column connection.

Copying a connection

When you copy a connection into a different wall-column connection, the program creates an additional wall-column connection there. You cannot copy a connection into a different column, wall or into the empty workspace as the program is not able to create a wall-column connection.

Copying a column or wall

When you copy a column into a different wall or a wall into a different column, the program creates an additional wall-column connection there. You cannot copy a column or wall into the empty workspace as the program is not able to create a wall-column connection.

Deleting a connection

When you delete a connection, the column and wall are retained without the connection.

Deleting a column or wall

When you delete a column or wall, the relevant connection is deleted and the column or wall is retained.
