Additional reinforcement

Module(s): Precast Wall

You can use the Additional Reinforcement tool to create manual reinforcement for trimming for solid and sandwich wall panels. You can only select this tool when the special viewing area provided in the Edit Element tool is closed.

To create manual reinforcement for trimming

1. Click Additional Reinforcement (How).
   

   Activate Additional Reinforcement in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Precast Factories Precast Wall

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Precast Wall

2. Click Properties to specify the parameters for the reinforcement.
3. Select a type in the tree structure at the top. Separate settings are available for the visible and invisible leaves of sandwich wall panels.
4. Enable the Produce option if you wish to apply reinforcement for trimming to recesses.
5. You can make separate settings for horizontal and vertical edges. To do this, click in the relevant line.
6. Enter the relevant limits for the offset of the recess to the edge in the unit of length set.

   If the actual edge offset of the recess is greater than the value entered, the program only applies longitudinal bars to the recess.

7. Click OK to confirm your entries and select the required recesses.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.
