Status admin

Module(s): Precast Slab + Precast Wall + Structural Precast Elements

You can use the Status Admin tool to assign or change statuses and locking states independently of the automatic features. In addition, you can configure the program to highlight the current status and locking state.

This tool is only available when you have created at least one entry in Status admin catalog.

To define and display the current status and locking state

1. Click Status Admin (How) if you want to use status admin without automatic features or change a status assigned automatically.
   

   Activate Status Admin in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Precast Factories Precast Floor/Precast Wall/Structural Precast Units

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Precast Floor

   Precast Wall

   Structural Precast Units

2. Select the elements to which you want to assign a status and/or locking state or of which you want to change the status and/or locking state.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

3. The status and/or locking state can be defined separately in the Status and locking administration dialog box. Click OK to confirm.

   The Status list box includes all the entries that are defined in the status admin catalog and assigned to the current factory. The Locking list box includes all the locking states that are generally available.
   Clicking a status automatically enters the locking state that is assigned in the status admin catalog. You can change this locking state as you need.

4. On the Status Admin Context toolbar, click Display status or locking and choose the setting you want to use to display the current element status or the locking state of the precast elements in the current drawing file and in drawing files open in edit mode.
   • No display
     The precast elements are not highlighted.
   • Changes possible / Geometric changes locked / All changes locked
     Depending on the locking state, the precast elements and mark numbers are displayed in the element detection color specified in the Options (Desktop environment - Display page, Display area).
5. Quit status admin by clicking Close on the Status Admin Context toolbar.
