Name:

You can enter any name. This name is displayed in the Brick type list box in the General, Panel lengths/Girders, Panel widths and Cross ribs tabs of the panel type catalogs of the concrete brick slab and suspended brick slab. In addition, it appears when you select a material in the Material definition dialog box for brick wall design and in the Element to be placed list box on the Sample tab of the placement pattern catalog.

Description:

User-defined name that can be included in labels for element plans or lists/schedules.

Weight / Length / Width / Thickness or Height:

You can define the weight and dimensions for the brick type or tile selected. The grid dimensions for brick slab design are defined by the length of the slab tiles.

The following applies to the length and width of the tile:

Value a / Value b:

Value a and Value b are clearly explained in the schematic representation of the brick type. These values can only be defined for slab bricks.

Allowed to cut:

You can specify whether tiles can be cut as well as define the resulting Minimum length and Minimum width.

If the element geometry results in cut tiles but the Allowed to cut option is not selected or the minimum width is not complied with, the program will issue a warning. Although the tiles are created, the element is marked as illegal.

Use/brick type

You can specify whether the entry is used as a brick for slab or wall elements or as a tile for facing layers. When set to slab brick, you can select from different types. The preview shows the type selected:

'Production' tab

The following settings are taken into account when production data and lists are created for tiles.

Surface fixture for the tile:

You can assign a surface fixture from the fixture catalog to the tile. You need to make this assignment if you want to transfer the tiles to production. Select a fixture in the list box.

Mark "smooth edge " for cut tiles:

If this option is selected, the Unitechnik file identifies the uncut edges of the tile with the line attribute Smooth edge (Bit 8), so that the tiles are positioned correctly in automatic placement.

'Display' tab

Line display

You can make settings for the Pen, Line and Color. These settings are used to display the edges of the bricks or tiles.

As defined in general settings: the settings on the Format toolbar are used.

Settings from donor component: the settings of the component are used.

Custom definition: the settings you make for the Pen, Line and Color on this tab are used.

Surface elements

You can specify whether a Hatching style, Pattern or Fill is applied to the brick or tile in plan view.

To select a surface element, select the relevant check box, click in the box and select the surface element you want to use. To switch a surface element off, clear the relevant check box. If all check boxes are cleared, surface elements are not displayed.

Note: In addition to a fill, you can also select a hatching style or pattern; in this case, the fill is used for the background color.

'->Fact.' tab
