Activate/passivate basic reinforcement

Tool(s): Modify / Label Reinforcement

When generating the slab and wall elements, the program creates the longitudinal and cross bars of the basic reinforcement as passive elements; in other words, the reinforcement is drawn but cannot be modified in this state. This reduces the volume of data and improves performance.
To make modifications, you must first activate the basic reinforcement in a view or in plan view. Although only the selected placement is activated, any modifications you make are reflected in all the associated placements including passive placements.

To activate or passivate basic reinforcement

1. On the Modify / Label Reinforcement Context toolbar, click Activate/Passivate Basic Reinforcement in View or Plan.
2. Use the Input options to specify whether the basic reinforcement is to be set to Active or Passive.
3. Select the relevant reinforcement in a view or in plan view.
   
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

Notes:

• If the Color stands for pen option is disabled, the colors used to display passive reinforcement differ.
• Any manual changes you make to “active” reinforcement displayed (for example, changing the placement display mode to Show middle bar only or adding dimension lines) are lost when you set the relevant reinforcement to passive again.
