Modify stirrup cages

Tool(s): Modify / Label Reinforcement

You can use this tool to change all the parameters of an individual stirrup cage or the bending shape definition of several stirrup cages.

To modify the parameters of a stirrup cage placement

1. On the Modify / Label Reinforcement Context toolbar, click Modify Stirrup Cages.
2. Select the placement you want to modify by clicking a bar or the placing polygon.

   Note: To open the dialog box, you can also double-click a bar or the placing polygon of the stirrup cage placement with the left mouse button or open the shortcut menu of the stirrup cage placement and select Properties.

3. Set the parameters (analogous to creation method) and click OK to confirm.
   

To modify the bending shape definition of several stirrup cages placed

1. On the Modify / Label Reinforcement Context toolbar, click Modify Stirrup Cages.
2. Select the placements you want to modify using the Brackets or enclose several placements in a selection rectangle.
3. When the bending shapes ad/or mark numbers of the selected placements differ, you can apply the new bending shape definition to all stirrup cages placed or you can first click a stirrup cage in order to filter based on bending type or mark number.
4. Click the stirrup cage of which you want to use the bending shape definition.
5. Adjust the bending shape definition and click OK to confirm.
   

   Select a stirrup shape in the Bending Shape Definition box. As well as the display of the stirrup shape, you can specify stirrup dimensions.
   

   Select the check box if you want to provide Hooks on the stirrup ends. As well as the display of the hook, you can specify the angle and hook length.
   

   You can select the check boxes in the Rotate area to flip the stirrup shape by +90 degrees or -90 degrees.
   

   When you select the Mesh welding system check box, the stirrup cages are produced as attached reinforcement by a mesh welding system.

   By selecting the Top, Bottom, Left and/or Right check boxes you can create longitudinal reinforcement in addition. Click the relevant buttons beside the check boxes to specify the number of bars, their diameter, and the concrete cover at the start and end of the placement.
   When you have specified one bar per segment only, this bar can be placed centrally or at any distance from the corner. The reference point for the offset is on the left for the Top and Bottom settings and at the bottom for the Left and Right settings.
   

   Select the Production direction:

   • transverse to span direction
   • longitudinal (parallel) to span direction
     

   Set the Minimum offset to edge of the longitudinal reinforcement of the stirrup cage in the unit set for the length.
